Graduating in the year 1979, in Electrical and Electronic Engineering B-Sc (Engineering) HONS from University College LONDON , the photographed Mr. Ramesh Chand Bhura returned home and joined IIT Kharagpur as a Senior Research Assistant in the team led by Professors Gitin Sanyal and B.N.Das. Hailing from a business family of Jains from Rajasthan, he left IITKGP to set up his firm CALTRONIX in 1981 to trade in Electrical, Electronic, Communication Components and Test and Measuring Equipment.

Over the years, the company has acquired the skill and sources to supply devices and instruments from DC to Optical frequencies. Major Customers and patronisers include IIT, IR, ITR, BSNL, CESC, Tata Communications, Siemens, BHEL ,IOL ,OIL among others. The brands that CALTRONIX offers are ANDIG, NTPL, SES,JDSU,APLAB, BASELINE, BIRD, JOINWIT, GOOT, FLUKE, IFR, 3M, MELSS & UNI-T.
